Standard Bolt Relocates To North Mesa Chrome Hardware Supply Division Moves to Dover Industrial Park PHOENIX (August 10, 2004) - Standard Bolt and its Chrome Hardware Supply division is relocating from its Phoenix location to North Mesa. After 20 years at their Phoenix location, Standard Bolt is moving to Dover Industrial Park at the northwest corner of Greenfield and McDowell Roads. The move is planned for December 2004. "Our business has experienced significant growth as we continue to expand our chrome fastener business that serves the motorcycle, auto and retail markets and we needed more space," said Eric Anderson, president of Standard Bolt / Chrome Hardware Supply. "Dover Industrial Park had the perfect building available in North Mesa." Standard Bolt / Chrome Hardware Supply will occupy approximately 25,500 square feet in their new facility at 4245 East Palm Street. The company currently employs 55 people. Standard Bolt started in 1976 by serving the electronics and aerospace industries with customers such as Boeing, Motorola and Intel. The Chrome Hardware Supply division was started in 1998 to serve the growing motorcycle market with high quality chrome fasteners and is now one of the largest suppliers of chrome fasteners in the country. Customers include some of the best-known motorcycle builders in the industry including Orange County Choppers, Arlen Ness, Big Dog, Bourgets, Hot Match, Titan, Swift and American Ironhorse. They also supply major parts manufacturers such as S&S, Performance Machine, Weld Racing, and UMI. Standard Bolt is undergoing ISO Certification review and will be certified in the first quarter of 2005. "Standard Bolt's decision to move to Dover Industrial Park shows the strength of the market in North Mesa," said Robert M. McNichols, the managing member of Dover Associates, LLC, owner of Dover Industrial Park. "The tremendous activity we're experiencing is due to the extension of the Red Mountain Freeway/Loop 202 and the relocation opportunities in the Falcon Field area." North Mesa is home to many aviation/aerospace companies that employ over 10,000 people. "Being able to attract suppliers that support this industry is a critical component in our economic development strategy, said Lois Yates, executive director of Falcon Field Area Alliance. " We are pleased to welcome Standard Bolt to the Falcon Field business district and hope that this is the first of many suppliers that will relocate to North Mesa." The lease was brokered by Mark Detmer and Bo Mills of Trammell Crow Company who represented the landlord, Canal Associates, LLC, and Marc Pierce of Lee & Associates Arizona who represented Standard Bolt. The 4245 East Palm Street building was developed by Daedalus Real Estate Advisors, LLC, a Phoenix based commercial real estate services company that provides investment, development and communications consulting to corporate real estate clients. Dover Industrial Park is a 65-acre industrial, office and commercial development park at the northwest corner of Greenfield and McDowell Roads in North Mesa. Dover Industrial Park currently includes Aliant Tech Systems (ATK); Communication Services (CSI); DROBOT, Inc.; Hunter's; Kennedy Design Build; and Trans-Matic. Dover Associates, LLC purchased the park in 1999 from The Boeing Company. Improved lots as well as the opportunity for build-to-suit leasing are currently available.
